Grounded reflection and intentional travel for nature lovers.

About

I believe that the best way to find yourself is to get a little bit lost in the right direction.

My connection to the wild started early—literally. I spent my first three summers living in a CalFire lookout tower in the heart of Northern California, nestled between the Klamath and Shasta-Trinity National Forests. Raised by backpackers, the outdoors wasn’t just a place I visited; it was my first home.

Science Meets Mindfulness With a background in Biology and years of experience as a science educator, I’ve always been fascinated by the intricate dance of ecology and conservation. But I also know that being “outdoorsy” is about more than just identifying plants—it’s about how we feel when we’re among them.

To deepen my own practice and help others, I’ve dedicated myself to the study of presence. I am a Certified Mindfulness Educator and a Trauma-Informed Specialist, as well as a trainer in Social Emotional Skills for adults. My goal is to take the Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) tools I’ve taught to adults and educators and bring them into the wild, helping you find a sense of grounded reflection wherever you wander.

The Journey So Far

I know what it’s like to crave adventure while balancing a busy career. By making the most of school holidays and learning how to travel on a thoughtful budget, I’ve been able to explore:

  • 28 US National Parks (and counting!)
  • 5 Canadian National Parks
